The National Examination Integrity Framework (NEIF) is a governance-centred framework for strengthening integrity, transparency, resilience and public trust across India's examination system — proposed by the International Institute of Higher & Professional Studies.
The question is no longer how to run examinations securely. It is how to govern them with foresight.
India administers one of the world's largest and most diverse examination ecosystems — school examinations, university assessments, entrance tests, recruitment examinations, professional licensing and, increasingly, digital and lifelong-learning assessments.
Artificial intelligence, digital assessment platforms, cybersecurity threats and rising public expectations are reshaping how examinations are designed, delivered and trusted. Governance can no longer be treated as an administrative afterthought — it has become a strategic institutional capability.
